Services & Facilities


  • Loan of materials via the automated library system
  • Written and e-mail notification of overdue library materials
  • Referral Service: Referral letters/forms for visiting other libraries may be obtained from the Librarian
  • Readers Assistance: Assists users in the selection of library materials on the subject of inquiry; directs researchers to appropriate sources of information available in the CLIR.
  • Searching Assistance: Gives instruction and assistance in the use of electronic catalogues, databases, internet, etc.
  • TLC Web Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC): Materials needed [books, periodicals, indexes, theses/feasibility studies, electronic/AV materials] for research can be accessed easily through CLIR website. Patrons can also access their status information as to outstanding fine balances, estimated fines for items currently overdue, items on loan and items on reserve.
  • Accommodation of outside researchers: The center attends to visiting users up to a maximum of five persons at one time. Outside researcher's fee is PhP 50.00 per day. Visiting Researchers are required to present the referral letter from their library.
  • Orientation and Library Tour: Gives short information/lecture to patrons and visitors of the library with regard to library facilities, services and policies.
  • Cyber Search : Supports the speedy exchange of information and the instructional/research needs of the academic community through electronic mail and the Internet.
  • Book reservations:
    • User may reserve a book using their TLC account or at the Circulation counter.
    • Faculty may reserve book titles for room use only for student use of specific class for a term at the Circulation counter
  • Photocopying – available to users who need to photocopy print materials

  • Wi-Fi access – make available wireless connection to the internet.
  • Online Public Access Catalog (web- OPAC) may be accessed easily using the web.
  • CLIR Tapping machine- a device that provides statistics of the library users.
  • Computer terminals – computers with internet access are available to library users.
  • Integrated Library System – CLIR uses the TLC-Library Solutions to search and access the resource center catalog of print and non-print materials.
